The tender for the construction of the highway passing through Banat has been announced. The Chinese company Shandong Hi-Speed International – a subsidiary of Planning&Design Company KFT –, which is building the first highway through Banat, has announced the call for tenders.
This highway is part of the Belgrade–Zrenjanin–Novi Sad route.
The Novi Sad AG-Uns Construction Institute has also been involved in the process, as this institute developed the concept plan for the highway and maintains a good relationship with the Chinese company.
The construction of the highway represents a significant infrastructure development for the region and could facilitate the improvement of transport connections between Belgrade, Zrenjanin, and Novi Sad.
