The Štajerska motorway will be closed this weekend.

If you are planning to travel in the coming days, it is advisable to leave home a few minutes earlier and check the condition of Slovenian roads as well. From Friday, October 25th at 8 p.m. to Monday, October 28th at 5 a.m., the section of the Štajerska highway between Vransko and Blagovica in the direction of Ljubljana will be closed. At the Trojané junction, only vehicles heading towards Maribor coming from Ljubljana can exit. During the construction, a detour will be designated on the parallel regional road between Vransko and Blagovica. The complete closure of the highway is necessary for concrete and asphalt pavement repairs, restoration of expansions, regular inspections, and maintenance of structures. Current roadworks in the country Traffic at the Karavanke tunnel on the Gorenjska highway will be restricted to alternating one-way traffic tonight and on Thursday morning, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. The Poljčane - Majšperk route near Globoko by the Dravinja will be closed until December 7th due to asphalting. The Podlom - Kranjski Rak - Luče route at Podlom will be closed on Wednesday, October 23rd, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The detour will be via the Gornji Grad - Radmirje - Luče route. On the Litija - Zagorje route at Šklendrovec, there will be full closures daily until October 25th, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. On the Gorenja vas - Škofja Loka road, in the Sten tunnel, until Friday, October 25th, every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a full road closure from Gorenja vas towards Škofja Loka, while traffic in the opposite direction is unobstructed. At the Vršič Pass, the road will be closed at the pass due to works expected until November 8th, Monday to Friday, daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., as can be seen on the Road Information Center's page for state roads. Works are also ongoing at various locations on the Korošaki state roads, conducting post-flood restoration. On October 23rd, 2024, on the Mežiška Valley regional road: R2-425, the Poljana-Šentvid section, from 1.200 km to 1.650 km (Nužijev landslide), there will be partial or occasionally short full road closures from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. During the partial closure, traffic will be alternating one-way with the help of traffic lights, manual traffic management, or short-term complete closures – approximately 15 minutes.
